USD/JPY Forecast: Bullish Bias Intact Near 162.00 - Technical Analysis & Key Levels (2026)

The USD/JPY currency pair is experiencing a bullish trend, with prices hovering around the nine-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at 162.00. This near-term bias is supported by the pair's position above both the nine-period and 50-period EMAs, as well as its movement within an ascending channel pattern. The 14-day Relative Strength Index (RSI) easing back toward the mid-50s further confirms the consolidation without undermining the broader uptrend. The pair could face initial resistance at the 40-year high of 162.84, followed by the upper boundary of the ascending channel at 164.00. On the downside, immediate support is found at the nine-day EMA of 161.98, the lower boundary of the ascending channel at 160.80, and the 50-day EMA at 160.58. A break below the channel would expose the four-month low of 155.04, recorded on May 6. The Japanese Yen is currently the weakest against the US Dollar, as indicated by the percentage change table. This data provides valuable insights into the currency's performance and potential future movements, offering traders and investors a comprehensive view of the market dynamics.
